Hi all been on the normal meds for ages with no help so discussed stents and shunts with my Neuro and waiting for referal appointment with Surgeon. I am hoping to get testing to see if a tent will help 1st as less invasive but still scary :shock:

Welcome Jade I'm so glad you joined us. I was around your age when diagnosed so I understand how frustrating it is, especially when you want to be out with your friends and enjoying being young.

Let usk now how you get on when you go for testing for a stent. We're all here to support you and help you as much as we can. Don't hesistate in asking questions and our members are all very friendly and helpful and will give you lots of support.

I had a lp shunt installed Nov. 1st of last year. It has worked well for me, and a definitie improvement in my life! As Heidi has said, feel free to ask us any questions you may have about treatment options. We are glad to help.
