PostSubject: Lumbar Puncture   Lumbar Puncture I_icon_minitimeFri Apr 13, 2018 9:28 pm

I had a lumbar puncture yesterday. He could only measure to 35 and I went past that. He took off 40ml and closed at 20. Is it possible that my pressure has raised already? I felt really good yesterday but my head is becoming foggy again and I have a low grade headache which not sure if it is a hangover from the LP or pressure. Feels like pressure to me. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

next time have them close you at 14.  20 is still elevated, in the borderline range.  you are probably high again.  if you have more symptoms on standing then it could be low pressure if you are leaking.

Thank you, yes definitely don't think they closed low enough, and I am definitely high again.

Unfortunately it only takes a day or so to build back up, but I look forward to the relief the day of the puncture. I hope it's leveled out for you at this point or they've at least developed a treatment plan!
