Hope all goes well, but more importantly, that they drain off enough fluid to give you some much deserved relief.

Hi guys

Its all done - 15 attempts at drawing fluid and 3 different sights and no fluid was able to be drawn. Dr said
they need to use longer needles. On the last attempt he said that he was trying higher up the spine
and i got shooting pains down my right leg and he had to stop said it was too tricky. I now have to have it down
under Fluoroscopy. He did say that if i do have another lp it will never be as painful as this one was
as it was rather difficult to do.
Nothing goes smoothly for me - lets see how long i now have to wait for the next app.

On Bonnie, that is horrible! After having to wait so long and then they botch it up. They should have used the fluoroscopy to begin with!! I hope you will get another appt soon. Do you have to see the same doc?

Bonnie hug how utterly disappointing and distressing for you. I do hope you don't have to wait too long for another one.

thanks everyone - i am gonna give it a few days and then phone the neurologist and see if they can
do it quicker.

Bit tender tonight and slightly bruised but must admit it was not as bad as i thought.

Keep your back warm and rest up. Take pain relief as soon as the pain starts because it's more effective that way. hug

Even under a fluoroscope, my doc had trouble getting into a space (spinal stenosis where she tried). She was able to see how narrow the space was and decided it wasn't such a good spot anyway. She numbed up another spot and the needle went right in. That fluoroscope saves everyone time and pain!!

Have you called for another appointment yet?
