Well some of you already know I was having problem with my LP shunt and my surgeon and consultant was discussing about me having a VP shunt, I was meant to go to hospital tomorrow to get the decision, well this afternoon I had a phone call from the duty surgeon saying they have decided I am getting the VP some time in the next three weeks, He said he was phoning so I never had to go in tomorrow and just wait for a phone call to tell me when I can go in to get the VP shunt put in.

Jean you know I think this will do you so much more good than the LP shunt, and it's not nearly as difficult to recover from afterwards. Once you've had it done you'll soon see the benefits and will start to feel more positive. The procedure sounds worse than it actually is, so try not to google how it's done, as I've learned from experience, your mind blows it up to be bigger and scarier, and that's not helpful to your recovery. I agree with Heidi, I blew the whole VP shunt completely out of proportion and in actual fact, it wasnt so bad.
