I was wondering if any of you have been put on klonopin? Or any anxiety medicine

Hi Marlana, I was put on clonazepam many years for PTSD issues but was recently switched to xaxnex and it is more effective at controlling my panic problems (PTSD). While it has the calming effects I am not sure it helps with IIH symptoms. I am also on Fentanyl and Morphine ES to control my service related pain but also helps immensely with the sever head ache.

I have been on Fluoxetine for 12 years now, as I had a complete breakdown after my first shunt, which was due to alot of factors which we are all familiar with. When I went to have my first LP shunt to prevent total blindness, I also had to deal with problems at work, at home, with friends and family because they didn't understand, and were less than sympathetic. I was also told my sight would return to normal so my expectations were high, but it didn't and I was left with no peripheral vision and no depth perception.

Although it took me a couple of years to fully recover, my Doctor has kept me on it, I suppose as a precaution, especially after having so many surgeries in the space of 2 years.

I was on KLonopin for a few years along with Prozac it was helpful for the panic feelings and the anxiety.
