Diamox (acetazolamide) is one of the few treatment options for chronic IH.
Historically, many physicians have been reluctant to use the drug in pregnant
women with IH (especially before the thirteenth week of pregnancy) because of
its Class C designation (reported teratogenic effects in the limbs of rodents
and rabbits given high doses of acetazolamide). Few studies about the usage of
acetazolamide in pregnant women with IH, prompted the IH Registry
