oh Sammyjo I hope it works out for you. are you still with that boyfriend? is he being nicer to you now that you are past the shunt? I had C-sections with my kids by choice, and I'm so glad I did because I didn't know I had IIH at the time and it would have made me so sick! C-sections aren't so bad; can you have a spinal? how will they plan the delivery?

yes still with him he had a wake up call when i got the infection in my brain i became a shadow of my self and he has been so supportive since. i have option when it comes to the labour

1) naturally go into labour and try to push him/her out with the forseps on standby.

2) have a c section

i think i will go for the c section coz pushing for a poo since my shunt gives me a very bad instant low pressure head ache x

Sammyjo I am so pleased that you are now able to look forward to having a family. It is so wonderful that they know how to manage IIH during pregnancy now. Although my IIH started in pregnancy, it wasn't diagnosed till my daughter was 8mths old. I had hoped for more children, but 25 years ago they knew so little about IIH, that I was told not to have anymore, so I just have my one beautiful daughter.

I've always said the best thing I've ever done is be a Mother, I've enjoyed and still enjoy every minute of it, and so will you. You've made me smile today with this fantastic post!

for you
