Been a while since I've had to deal with IIH. I was first diagnosed in 2012, but then I was able to lose weight and it was pretty good for a while. Now it's back and I had 18+ headaches in a month, including waking up with them daily for a while. Opthamologist and neurologist jointly put me on Topamax and Diamox. BUT my vascular surgeon has me on 325 aspirin for stents.
I see on the Diamox you aren't supposed to take those together with higher doses of aspirin.
Anyone have any experience with this? I asked the doctor and pharmacist and both seemed surprised by the question, despite websites and literature stating it's a major interaction and to avoid prescribing (and therefore taking) both. Being an anxious person this worry isn't something I need.
Should I press harder for them to pay attention to what I'm looking at? Or maybe ask the aspirin prescribing doctor instead?
