I can relate to the frustration and everything you must have had over all that time, and I bet like me you thought, once the shunt was in, things would go back to normal and you'd be able to just get on with things. It's so crap when it doesn't happen that way, because everyone else expected the result to be instant too.
I had the same problem with my first VP shunt which was a programmable one, I ended up with one that's is just permanently set in the end. I'm so pleased that yours seems to be working well, and I'll keep my gingers crossed that it doesn't change. Are you still on Diamox or anything, or is it just the shunt now? Hopefully things will settle down for you soon.
