OMG [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Had to take my son to see his doctor today at the hospital He has A.D.D ( attention deficit disorder) after reading his notes she noticed he has bad headaches (which he is under an eye doc for, they thought he had tunnel vision and sent him for a electroied test) i told her that he was currently under an eye doc, she then asked if headaches run in the family i told her that i was diagnosed with I.I.H in march this year (by the same eye doc that my son see's), she then said i think he needs an MRI scan [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] i then asked the question "i didnt think I.I.H was hereditary [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] " apprently it is [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] so he needs o have the scan to find out..........we have to wait now for the appointment to come through.

On a different note i went to see my eye doc last week and had some good news [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] there is a slight only very slight improvement in my eyes so the doc told me i had got to stay on the diamox (no matter wot the other doc had told me)as it was obvious to him that the tabs was working so [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] that next time i go back there will be more improvment ....
and this weather is killing me its just too hot dont know whether anyone else is the same or is it my fibromyalgia thats causing the problems

:hello: Tracey, first of all I am so glad you were told to stay on the Diamox, because as you now know, they do work, and it most definitely working for you. If you had followed the other doctors advice it could have been a totally different story.

I'm sorry that your son is having problems too, and I'll keep my that it isn't IIH. I know that it is a worry, as you know from your own experience what a hard condition it is to live with. A few years ago, Laura was having headaches and visual problems, and I went into panic too. She was taken off the pill,and things improved, however a year or so ago, she started having headaches again, and after seeing the Neurologist, because of my IIH, it turned out to be a kind of Perioccular headache. I hope that once your son has his MRI, things will be a lot clearer, and hopefully not be anything too serious.

As for the weather, I have to admit I'm struggling myself. I've never been good with the heat, especially as I've an irregular heartbeat, but despite the medication, the heat is definitely taking it's toll. I feel exhausted most of the time nuhuh

hi tracey sorry to hear about your son,i did not think iih was hereditary my son too get's very bad headaches and he asked me many times is it catching he is 30 now. for letting me no i will tell him.
