Good Day Everyone

So i have been on this road for officially 10 years now.  I am off all medications and holding well with in my pressures guidelines (LOL).

My question(s) is anyone off medications suffering with these mind crushing headaches during these hours?

All my doctors say they are okay since i can deal with them and they are not causing any issues other than disturbed sleep and pain.

I have noticed that this winter when I spend the night at the local ski mounatin that I do not get them.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

thank you

one would think that if you go up in altitude that ICP headaches would get worse.
if you leave your home environment and feel better, could there be something in your home making you sick?  mold?  allergies to pets?  chemical exposure in the bedroom?
what is your current opening pressure?  it might be one the docs think is OK but it's really not.
morning headaches make me think obstructive sleep apnea.

You may try sleeping with your head elevated and see if that alleviates any of your symptoms. I have had a couple different surgeons tell me that morning headaches are common for people with
IIH and you may just have to play around until you find an elevation that works for you. I always sleep with my head a little elevated, but, if there are storms or major weather changes, I'm basically at a 45-60% angle.

Deb's right, environment can also play a roll, as well as other contributing conditions like sleep apnea. If raising your head or removing any toxins from your environment doesn't help, you may want to follow up with your neurologist or neuro-ophthalmologist. That is assuming you still have regular check-ups, if not and this is a change for you, I'd have vision checked and speak with someone anyway.

I hope it helps!
