Hi There,

Diagnosed over 15 years ago and after 2 years treatment i been problem free for 13 years!
I'm currently menopausal and my GP has suggested i use HRT but i have avoided the pill and hormones as told by my consultant all those years ago.
Is HRT ok to use?
I'm worried it may bring my IIH back :(

Any advice appreciated, especially from ladies of my age who have been through the menopause? Help

Thank you! Jo x

I wouldn't use it.  I'm 52 and not planning on using HRT.  I tried supplementing an estrogen patch about 7 years ago and I had worse headaches and had to stop.

It's always a gamble, but I would discuss concerns with your physician and see someone that specializes in hormone imbalances before making a decision. I know others have found some benefits, so it's different for everyone.
