I am going into the hospital tomorrow for 24 hour monitoring.  My surgeon says this will tell me DEFINITELY if I have IIH.  He said he is not convinced.  

Here is my question:  Should I stop the Diamox before I go into the hospital?  I have been given NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL.    

Will it give me a false read?

Diamox will give a false reading.  Do stop taking it before starting the test.  Diamox doesn't require any withdrawl period, so you can just stop taking it, but bring it with you so that as soon as the testing is over you can start taking it again (to help keep the lowered pressure lower, longer).

How did the testing go?  Feeling any better by now?
