hi guys so i usually use this site to vent about my IIH but i have had 3 good days, my doctor has given me some amazing pain killers, sleeping pills and a temporay hearing aid to lessen/ stop the ooshy ears. its no the perfect solution but i cant have nother LP so untill my surgey tis is the best they can do and i can honestly say i have slept the past 2 nights and i have felt HUMAN x so thought it would be nice to share a smile :D

I to am feeling human again. I had a lp Last night and the dr took off 31cc. I feel like a person. I can function and enjoy life even if it temporary. My opening pressure was in the 50s. I can actually play with my daughter. :lol:

Sammy we understand the good and bad days, but it's always good to hear when someone is having good days, no matter how long or short that time lasts. We have to remember to make the best of the good ones that come, and by sharing them it gives a moral boost.

Definitely..a pain free day is HUGE! Celebrate the small things and hold onto the possibilites during difficult times..knowing it's possible just gives me hope!!!

My bad days are back. New meds and surgery consult on 12/12/12. Seems i need an icp bolt and lp shunt.

marlana my surgial consult is 11/12/12 for LPshunt... i am so sorry that they r changing ur med thats always the worst bit coz for a few days ur body has no medication in the systom and u feel back at square one.. chin up huni all i keep thinking is after the surgry it will all be better maybe it will for you to

Im hoping and have my fingers crossed for the both of us...the meds just make me tired..i was diagnosed at 24 on 12/15/11 and my consult is 12/12/12...he has already told me surgery before Christmas

hay so i ahve been messed about alot with dates for shunt but i DEFO have consultation on 11/12/12 but how long after that b4 i get my surgery x

Sammyjo, my hospital have the records onlinee...they told me about the 2mm aneurysmon my anterior cartoid artery but not about the 3-4mm chhairi malformation..i just looked at my records at hom. Also, i have diabetes nobody told me about. All i could was grab my daughter and write to yall. My family tells me to pray but im so lost even with faith :afraid:

babe you should sue i hope that u r not getting ur self too stressed coz it will raise ur pressure i am so so so so sorry for what ur going through x

Also replied to on Twitter - Try not to panic because you will make yourself have one heck of a headache. Try and relax and write down all the questions you need to ask your doctor when you speak to him. Bullet list them all thoroughly.

Sammyjo, not stressed just find it ridiculous my neuro talked to me but the surgeon doesn't..he won't return my calls..so i got an appt to discuss this with him next week on Friday.

It is she...we just scheduled my eye dr for the 12/3/12 so i can have everything current within a month..i am even going to my gp.
