Hope I am posting in the right place this time.

Just wanted to know what pain meds I can take with the acetazolamide? (Diamox in some countries).

I have had a really good 5 days, and today just isn't one of those days. I guess we can't have it easy all the time!

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Hi Mel! The best advice is to check with your pharmacist. They'll know all meds you're taking and should be able to tell you which over-the-counter things to avoid.

I don't know of anything contraindicated.

Mel, I can't be sure about every Medication of course, but it is important to note that you cannot take ANYTHING with Aspirin in it.  It can cause all kinds of problems including hallucinations and doctors and pharmacists don't always remember to tell you.  I had to give up my Excedrin when I started Ace. because of this, even though I took it almost everyday for my IIH.

Thanks so much for that. Going to do some research and call the pharmacy I think. The Ace has worked for a month, but I feel the pressures are up again, since Friday. I can feel that I need an LP, but I only have an appointment for the 28th and that's just a check up for the doctor, who will then have to refer me to the Neuro clinic for the LP. Just need some relief in the meantime.
