to the group!!! You've definitely been throught it w/ the Diamox and spinal taps..hopefully the neurosurgeon will just look at the opening pressures from the taps you've already had done. If you check the Useful Guides and Printouts section, you'll see one titled
Talking to Your Neurosurgeon About IIH Surgery. You may want to look it over prior to your appointment..you can print it off or make some notes for your appointment. You might also find some helpful information about the different shunts at
ihrfoundation.org. I've seen support for both LP and VP. Personally, I've had a LP Shunt for about 10 years. I've had a couple revisions, but it's made a HUGE difference. I think either way you'll find some relief.
