Good morning everyone

I have an lp shunt and I am struggling with pain lately, my head is booming all of the time and I can't get any relief, my neuro isn't very good shall we say and won't put me on any decent pain meds, I've tried ringing my neurosurgeon for their advice but they seem to be really busy or just not wanting to phone me back :-(

What should i do next?

If you aren't getting any joy from them after trying to see them contact your hospitals PALS , they will help you to get an appointment and will mediate for you. I've done this myself many times, and have found them to be very helpful and reliable. They are there to help you and to help with any problems you are having such as the one you're having now. :hello: Millie, Sorry your going through so much pain Did you manage to get hold of your neuro or neurosurgeon? What kind of pain relief are you on at the moment if any? If things get any worse for go to A&E and they will have no choice but to see and if they refuse ask to speak to someone in PALS there and then. If you go onto their website and look in your area it should give you a number for your local one.
