Hello everyone!
I have a chance to go on a business trip with my mum at the end of July. I don't travel much and I'm so excited but the travel scares me.
Ive read other posts on flying, but most people seem to be on diamox while they fly. I am currently not on any treatment. I am going to a new doc in August, so I won't get treatment until after the trip.
Is flying safe when you don't have any treatments? I've heard different stories about the comfort level, but I'm mostly worried about the dangerous. When I do car trips into the mountains (around 8ft) my head feels horrible, but if it's not dangerous thats what really matters.
Thank you so much!

I used to get sick after an airplane trip, but I think it was a delayed reaction to all the chemical exposures in the plane and airport.  I never seemed to get sick on the flight.  the cabin is pressurized so technically it shouldn't be that much of a change.  if you get sick going to altitude in the mountains, then you might get a similar reaction in a plane.  I've never heard anything about it being dangerous, just pretty uncomfortable.

Your symptoms could temporarily affect you when you are in the air, but then go when you are back on the ground, it isn't the same for everyone.
