I have IH for a couple of years. I have to take lasix, as i am allerigic to Diamox.  My neurologist turned me back to my primary doc, saying I was under control.  My primary doctorwho really doesn't know too much about IH.  He thinks my tinnitus is caused by hearing loss...sigh...Would love to hear how others have found the right doctor, I feel like I am treating myself!  My opthamologist poo poos my symptoms of pain behind the eye, and pain with eye movement.  Also, when I am reading I sometimes have some of the letters turn red or blue...optic nerve is a little enlarged, but no vision loss yet.  I do live in the wilds of Co, but can get as far as Denver for treatment.  Thanks, Sherry:Help

It's always a crap shoot, but hopefully someone in your area will post specifics. Honestly, I would contact the neurologist if you're having symptoms again. Keep a symptom log to track changes, so doctor has more info. I know it's frustrating, but sometimes you have to keep making noise until someone hears you.

Good luck, and take care!

Finding a good doctor is problematic. I have found a couple in different areas that seem to be flexible and listen to me anyway. But I do not hesitate to schedule an appointment with another doctor, if I am not satisfied. If you think a doctor is not acting in your best interests, don't feel bad about going elsewhere.

I don't know the area but if it were me I would pick one of these docs:

maybe call and see if one of them does more with IIH.

Sherry, having any luck finding a good doc?
Have you contacted the IHRF in Portland to see if they can recommend someone?
