| IIH and Noise
I have a busy house with three children... needless to say the noise levels are very high!
My husband bought me a pair of ear plugs. They are the ones they use for shooting because you can hear the everyday sounds but they block out the volume!! |

| I must admit I've got some myself, and they do help, especially as with IIH you're more sensitive to noise but I wear mine at bedtime lol! |

| That is a really good idea! I have 3 wonderful girls, 14, 12, & 9 and they are LOUD! but it is the pitch of the voices that set me off with raging headaches and ear aches, I will try these and maybe i will be able to handle them all talking at once. Thank You! |

| Sounds great for exterior noise. Does it magnify the ringing, since you don't have white noise masking? |

| Thanks Heidi. I'll check for U.S, sites too, I just wasn't sure what to look for. Now... if I could get the people at the end of the block to end their parties by midnight, I might have it made. |

| Thanks Geri. I got some earplugs that help. I don't mind the fact that they have the parties, it's just that 1:30-2:30 in the morning is a little late to keep going. There isn't any other background noise to mask it. I could make a noise complaint to the police, but they don't play around with that here and it's a $1000 fine after the first warning. That will be my last resort. Luckily last night they were done by a little after 11. |

| I can sympathize with the "tight head" today, that and the sizzle and whine in my ears have been like listening to a badly tuned radio today. I think partly from the weather and partly the fact that I had to walk further to an appointment than usual (road construction detour on the bus route) I wound up getting too much sun. But... like you will keep smiling |

| I know exactly what you both mean, for the past 3 days every noise, even down to the tap running has set me off this week. As it's been hot I've also had the fans on which might as well have been powered by a jumbo jet as noise goes. The earplugs are getting ordered asap |

| Well I am happy to say the ear plugs worked, and boy did I need them, only today was the alarm turned off. I had to do Inspector Morse to find the owner, got him via the carpenter he recommended to me who rang Australia to get the number of his brother, to get his sister to come with the key and turn the alarm off! How is that for a bit of magic haha...
But you know what think I will use the earplugs again... I got such a good nights sleep with them. Only problem is it took me till lunchtime to get rid of the noise in my ears after I took them out!
Heidi your right the weather is funny very heavy here no real air flow.
Betsy too much sun on your head is not good... I have to cover my head if I am going to be out in it for any length of time or I will end up with a banging headache. |
