as u all know sleeping with IIH is a nightmare. but last night was one of the really bad ones a mixture of pure agonaizing head ache and dizziness and wosshy ears and to top of the IIH cake i had vomiting i took aniti sickness NO RELIF i took pain killers NO RELIF. i am loosing my marbles :(

please can one of you please tell me the shunt that is comming will make me feel better, i have had moments in the past 10yrs when i felt hopeless and beyond repair please tell me my relif is comming

A shunt does help control raised pressure extremely well. It does lessen the symptoms significantly, but you will notice a sensitivity to weather conditions, resulting in Barometric Migraine. Once you have a fully functioning shunt you should be able to function as normal.

I agree. I've had my shunt 10 years now and am able to function normally most days..definitely better than before the shunt! I've even been able to maintain full time employment for several years now. Your symptoms will improve once IIH is under control..hang in there!!!!

Hang in there. A shunt should help a bunch. It is even helping my crazy symptoms.
Don't worry about the need for a good rant. We've all been down that road. ;)
