IMPORTANT SURVEYS REGARDING THE IIH DIAGNOSIS PROCESS

Please take the time to fill in our surveys to help us to collect data, on how long it takes from start to finish, to receive a diagnosis for IIH. IIH is frequently misdiagnosed and is only picked up when vision is compromised, and symptoms have become severe. In many cases it is only detected by an Optician on a visit to have eyes checked when doctors fail to pick up on the severity of the symptoms effects.

By filling in our surveys, we intend to use the data to improve the diagnosis process, and by bringing attention to the main symptoms, general medical practitioners need to be aware of as an indicator for IIH. We also intend to present our data to the necessary medical authorities who can help with this aim. Quick diagnosis is essential in preventing permanent optic nerve damage, and visual loss, with emphasis being on the indicative symptoms initially presenting in patients with headache, relative to IIH.
