Subject: Would you do it again? Positive shunt stories? Wed Jul 18, 2012 6:00 am
I'm considering shunt surgery as i am out of options and wondering if those who have had shunts regret it or would do it again? I'm only a teenager and have lost the last 4 years of my life to this, and really think I'm ready to try something else.. Thanks

Yes I would have a shunt again, infact I've had quite a few and don't regret any of them. The shunt that I have now is doing what it is supposed to do, and I can function much better because of it.

I would absolutely do it again! I've had the same shunt for 10yrs w/ 3 revisions. It gave me my life back and I'm grateful every day.
