| Photophobia
Hello Everyone,
The other day when the sun was shining I went out to Tesco's round in one of their wheelchairs. When we came out of the shop the sun was really bright, a lovely day, but I couldn't see a thing
My eyes were just too sensative to the light, it was really hurting my eyes. So I had to stare at the floor  . So I looked it up & it seems that our eyes when they have pap can't focus the muscles in & out to dilate our pupils acordingly.
I was just wondering if anyone else on here gets this?. Once my wheelchair turns up I will be straight off to the optitions for some reactions lenses, its a expensive game when you already wear glasses  |

| I suffer from it Titch, and I too wear glasses. When I went to Specavers for my new pair, I got the reaction ones that go darker with the sun, and also have my lenses coated with UV filter, as strobe lights, bright colours and computers screens etc also hurt my eyes. They have made a big difference, and I don't know how I ever lived without them now. Here's the link for specsavers, so you can see the different lenses you can have that will help with the sun and bright lights. Hope it helps ( ) http://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/lens-options/ |

| Hello Heidi,
Yes I was thining of going to Specsavers for their reaction lenses. I downloaded my photo so I could try the glasses on. Its great. The only trouble is the pair that suits me costs £169!!!! Trust me :lol!:
I didn't know about the uv filter though will have a look at that. They have a offer on if you buy a pair of glasses £75 or more then you get the reaction lenses for free in either brown or grey. I will opt for the brown as I have brown hair & a pasty face :lol!:
Thanks for your help 8) |

| Go for the brown, trust me they look better, I too have dark brown hair and a very pasty face, and the brown look alot better, the grey ones make you look like uncle fester :lol!: I actually found the pair that suited me and were just what I was looking for in the mens section, so have a look there too incase you see a similar pair there that might be cheaper, only you would know they were mens ;) . |

| I get that thing with my eyes, Tesco is a killer too!! Thats why I do all my grocery shopping online. I just can not tolerate it. Add the noise to it and the fact I'm shopping for a family of five. Well I've left in tears on many occasion, abandoned my trolley mid shop and just left!
If I ever have to go in I make sure it is for one or two items not a whole list and I dont go in alone. ("keep me covered I'm going in!")
I HATE THE PLACE!!
I hope you get some nice glasses soon. I got some UV filter ones on Heidi's recomendation......... They are fab! 8) Got em on now!!!! |

| The UV filter on your glasses really helps along with the reactions, but if you aren't in a position to get these until you need a new pair of glasses, if you have prescription sunglasses or any sunglasses, you could pop those on for the time your in those places. I know you're thinking but what will people think, but don't, there are so many people who do do that because of the lights. Until I got reactions added onto my glasses I wore sunglasses to cope with the light. |
