| Oh Jean, as if you don't have enough troubles right now. Did they tell you to rest or suggest anything at all apart from putting a patch on it? I don't understand why you would not go back to the Hospital for the results, maybe the system is different there to here. I hope with some rest and good care that this can be resolved for you. |

| Not using it is easier said than done! wearing an eye patch is VERY uncomfortable. I guess the best you can do now, is rest up and let your partner take good care of you. |

| I agree with geri, Jean I think you need to rest yourself as much as you can. When you go to see your doctor on Monday, also tell him about your double vision and balance problems. I think in terms of your eyes now, and for your own wellbeing, your doctor needs to send you to either your Neurologist or the hospital Opthalmologist. |

| Loss of sight is indeed tragic. I guess it is very difficult for you to adjust at the moment. Reading on your post weeks ago, you were forewarned on this condition and what the doctor feared indeed came to be. I know it’s a weekend there but, please notify your doctor if he can seek recommendation for you to be seen by a specialist on this condition today or if he can admit you even thru an ER. It’s the time of your partner to take care of you and also to endeavor contacting the doctor and medical center if needed. Since we are not a medical advisory group, our best bet is to trust in the expertise of our medical provider. Take time to rest and lay flat on your back so it will relieve your stress. I do hope and pray that this visual loss in your left eye is reversible. Please keep us posted with the development. We are so concerned with your state.Stay strong in spirit we are all with you. |

| hi sorry i have not been online the last few days but i have been seeing once professional after the other. My sight is trying to come back i can see a tiny bit of light out of my left eye the drs are saying that my optic nerve is badly damaged through the bleeds on it. They are hoping as i can see a little bit it will return gradually but they told me not to get my hopes up to soon as it might be irreversible. only time will tell.
I have to go back tomorrow to see the eye casualty tomorrow for another field test and various tests.
Hope yous are all well |

| Hi Jean
Its good to hear from you. Don't be worrying about not being online, you need to rest those eyes of yours and relax. Hopefully when you go back to eye casualty tomorrow things will either remain the same or have improved.
Keeping smiling

| Hi Jean,Try to prod your doctor to refer you to a specialist. An ophthalmologist who is versed and had a high success rate in performing ONSF (Optic Nerve Sheath Fenestration), at this rate of your visions decline, you need to explore with your doctor this treatment option. Make haste and don't wait for the condition to progress, the early treatment may be prescribed and procedure performed the more is your chance to reverse the loss of your vision. We are just here for emotional support, you still need to rely on the prompt treatment, and push for the speedy action of your doctors.Wishing your speedy recovery.Saleh |

| Jean I'm so pleased for you that your Opthalmologist thinks this is only temporary, I would mention all of this to your Neurologist, as he might want to send you to see the Neuro Opthalmologist for eyetests just to check it out, especially as you have, and may still have papilledema. |
