Rare Disease Day 2014 Empty

REMINDER: Friday, February 28th, is the worldwide event! The theme this year is "Join Together for Better Care", so I think it's something we can all support. This is basically a day to tell your story and educate the people around you. There are many ways to show your support, but here are a few simple ones..

Globally (http://www.rarediseaseday.org/):

Raise and Join Hands-Members can take a photo for their site and upload as your avatar here to show solidarity with patients and members around the world. Include your children, family, friends, co-workers, and get everyone involved.

US (http://rarediseaseday.us/):

Handprints Across America-Another way to show solidarity. Print the logo and snap a shot to submit for their gallery and use as your avatar here.

Raise Your Hand-Lunbeck donates $1 for every click to NORD's general research fund. NORD is also a great resource for rare diseases!

Another favorite:

Wear that you Care (http://globalgenes.org/world-rare-disease-day/): Wear a denim ribbon or your favorite pair of jeans to raise awareness. Afterall, 80% of rare diseases are in our genes.

You can share your story and find other ways to get involved at the links provided.

 thank you
