•constipation •dry mouth •headaches •sleepiness •sweating •tiredness •vomiting Uncommon: More than 1 in 1000 people who take Tramadol hydrochloride
•diarrhoea •gastrointestinalirritation such as feelings of pressure or feelings of fullness in the stomach •heart or circulation problems such as palpitations, faster heart rate, a drop in blood pressure on standing or sitting up or collapse •retching •skin problems such as itching, urticaria, skin rash or rashes Rare: More than 1 in 10,000 people who take Tramadol hydrochloride
•allergic reactions such as a difficulty in breathing, bronchospasm, wheezing or angioedema •anaphylactic reactions •appetite changes •blurred vision •changes in activity •convulsions •coordination problems •fainting or brief loss of consciousness •mood changes including elation or dysphoria •motorial weakness •muscle problems such as involuntary contractions •nightmares •psychiatric problems •raised blood pressure •respiratory depression •sleeping problems •slower heart rate •thought and sensory changes such as changes in decision making or in perception •Tramadol hydrochloridedependence •urinary problems such as a difficulty in passing urine, painful urination or urinary retention •withdrawal symptoms can occur when this medicine is stopped. These include: difficulty sleeping; hyperactivity; panic attacks; hallucinations; paraesthesiae; tremors; tinnitus; feeling agitated, nervous or anxious; gastrointestinal problems; confusion; delusions; depersonalisation; or feeling paranoid The frequency of these side-effects is unknown
•abnormal laboratory test results •enlargement of the pupil •speech problems •worsening of asthma
