No Papilledema

I don't and never have had papp...my pressures go up to 52...go as low as -2 when i'm standing..but only in short frequent bursts..like whn i turn my head or lay on my side..anyone else have this? I know my pressure reading from having a codmans wire inserted into my brain for 3 days a few weeks ago...i just don't quite seem to fit this condition very well..

What, that sure is confusing. Does your doc have any suggestions?

I think that's why the head of the neuro department has taken an interest in me personally and they're doing all these tests. It's kinda scary..would explain why diamox and topamax didn't lower my pressures previously...and why within 6 hours of having an LP done with 20ML removed, within 6 hours my pressure is back up over 28..answers would be good..

Yeah, papilladema isn't necessary for IIH diagnosis, but it really seems like something else is going on. There are a lot of conditions that cause IH, so it may just be a symptom of something else.

My pressure drops when I'm upright because my shunt is overdraining, but I feel best when I'm laying down. There are a lot of inconsistencies with your symptoms, so I'm glad you've found someone that's looking into it.

I'm really sorry you're struggling so much..hopefully you'll get some answers soon! We're always here for support..hang in there!!!

Take care,
Julie
