Has anyone experienced hearing loss due to their IH?  I lost my hearing almost 14 years ago, suddenly.  I was diagnosed with IH about 10 years ago.  Neither of which can be explained.  I have no swelling on my optic nerves, just the dreaded headaches and ringing/whooshing in my ears.  Just trying to see if there is a connection between the two.

I know that there have been members that report hearing loss and it can be caused by neurological/ sensory issues, but it's not typical. Your audiologist or neurologist would be best at identifying the cause, but I've also found that if a specialist can't find a cause of a random symptom they blame it on my IIH.

IIH is known to cause hearing loss, although I haven't known anyone yet on these boards who had that happen.  it can also cause anosmia.
